Prior Extinction puts you in the skin of an actual dinosaur in a harsh prehistoric world. You start out small and vulnerable, hunt, eat and drink to stay alive, and slowly grow into a creature that other players think twice about attacking. Surviving banks you Amber, the currency used to unlock bigger and stronger species, and the game is still in public alpha, so new systems and species keep arriving.
That is where codes help. A working code can drop thousands of Amber straight into your account, along with rare eggs — including the sought-after Melanistic and Leucistic variants — that would otherwise take a lot of lucky, careful play to earn. Below you will find every code we could verify right now, the ones that have stopped working, and the exact menu steps for claiming your rewards.
All New Prior Extinction Codes
- RecodeRelease!: 5,000 Amber, 1 Melanistic Egg, and 1 Leucistic Egg (==NEW==)
- HaveSomeEggs!: 2 Melanistic Eggs, 2 Leucistic Eggs, 2 Garden Eggs, and 2 Retro Eggs (==NEW==)
Both of these codes arrived with the game’s big Recode update, so grab them before anything else if you are starting fresh — the Amber alone is enough to skip a long stretch of risky early-game survival, and the eggs give your next generation a head start. Type the exclamation mark as well, because it is part of each code.

How to Get More Prior Extinction Codes
New codes for this game usually turn up alongside major updates — the Recode batch is the perfect example — and around events and holidays, so the developer’s announcements are the first place they appear. Joining the game’s official Discord server is the fastest way to see a fresh code the moment it is posted, and the Jacys Studios group on Roblox carries the same update news. We watch those channels and re-test this list often, so bookmark this page and check back after every big patch to make sure you never miss a drop.
Why Are My Prior Extinction Codes Not Working?
Double-Check for Typos: Codes here are case-sensitive and several of them end with an exclamation mark that is easy to leave off. A single wrong capital or a missing “!” will fail, so paste the code in exactly as it is printed above instead of typing it from memory.
The Code Has Expired: The developers retire old codes without much warning, and a whole batch of earlier codes was switched off when the Recode update landed. If a code you found on an older list does not work, check it against the expired list above before trying again.
You Have Already Claimed It: Every code can only be redeemed once per account. If you collected its Amber or eggs in the past, the game will refuse it now — that error means you already have the reward, not that the code is broken.

Conclusion
Survival in Prior Extinction is earned minute by minute, so a free bundle of Amber and a clutch of rare eggs is a genuine shortcut — especially for unlocking your next species sooner. Redeem the two working codes while they last, grow carefully, and bookmark this page so you are ready the moment Jacys Studios releases the next batch.
